Nice to meet you, I’m Paul.

I was born and bred in St Albans, and still reside here today with my wife and two young boys. We love visits to the beautiful parks, working our way around all the cafes and restaurants, and my wife and I are grateful for the excellent education St Albans provides.

I’ve been an estate agent in St Albans for over 25 years now. I set up shop on my own in 2018, seeking to start an independent estate agency that’s different to anywhere I’d been before. And so Paul Barker Estate Agents began.

Since then, I’ve built a small but mighty team who love what we do. We’re like family here.

I’m proud to say we’ve made a difference to many lives over the years. As a leading estate agency, we’ve helped people find first homes and forever homes, downsize from empty nests, build portfolios and sell investments, and all that comes in between.

Our fresh, friendly Sales Negotiator Amy is either out on viewings, or in the office negotiating offers and keeping everyone updated. Her goal: to find the perfect buyers for our properties, and the perfect properties for our buyers. Understanding your motivations and requirements really helps her excel in her role.

With a background in customer-facing roles, Barney is all about building rapport and nurturing relationships. Being a Sales Negotiator suits him well, and what he loves best about the job is sharing the good news when an offer is accepted, an exchange takes place, or keys are ready for collection.

Philippa is an integral member of the team, joining shortly after the business began as our Office Administrator. She's lived in St Albans for nearly 30 years, and her wealth of familiarity with the city earns great feedback from clients. Mandy has worked in Hertfordshire estate agency for over 25 years, so she has a huge bank of knowledge on buying and selling homes here. She’s also lived in St Albans for 35 years, so her local knowledge is second to none. Her job as Sales Progressor involves liaising with solicitors, as well as other agents in the chain, to get you to completion.
